Responsibilities
Draft and prepare complex motions and appellate briefs
Work closely with the rest of the MWA team on developing legal strategies in cutting-edge cases
Perform detailed and complex legal research
Make court appearances as necessary
Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas
Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on cases
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
Active license to practice law in California and/or Hawaii
Appellate clerkship or 3+ years of experience in appeals or litigation involving complex issues and motion practice
Ability to draft complex appellate briefs and motions
Detail oriented and organized, team player, reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines
This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills
