Lead/StaffNHS Ayrshire & Arran is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, delivering a wide range of health services. They are seeking a Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist for Tier 3 CAMHS teams to manage waiting times and deliver high-quality psychological therapies.

Responsibilities
Be involved in the delivery and governance of psychological therapies in the service
Work with other senior clinicians and the Service Manager to manage waiting times and deliver a high quality clinical service
Focus on a targeted project to reduce the longest waits in CAMHS with a particular focus on assessment and short interventions
Support young people to get timely treatment and then be discharged
Line managed by the clinical coordinator within the CAMHS team and work allocated accordingly
Provide leadership within the small team clinically
Qualification
Required
Clinical / Counselling Psychologist qualification
Experience of service delivery and management
Experience of working with complex cases, particularly in a Tier 3 CAMHS service
Ability to deliver and govern psychological therapies
Leadership skills within a clinical team
Commitment to reducing waiting times and providing timely treatment
Willingness to work on neurodevelopmental assessments
Ability to work collaboratively with senior clinicians and service managers
Preferred
Newly qualifying or soon to qualify Psychologists are welcome to apply
Experience in a targeted project to reduce waiting times in CAMHS
