The intern will work alongside engineers and scientists, assisting with thermal-fluid analyses, process design, and contributing to the organization's goals while gaining valuable experience.

Responsibilities
Assist with tasks or projects related to the area of study
Assist in system-level thermal-fluid analyses and process design using 1-D system simulation codes
Guide, initiate source term analyses and radiological consequence analysis
Assist in development of models to support licensing basis event analysis and evaluations
Perform elementary mathematical model programming for engineering calculations
Assist in the development of verification and validations plans, including code V&V efforts
Provide support for day-to-day departmental or team operations
Participate in brainstorming sessions, meetings, and project discussions offering input and feedback when appropriate
Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance operational efficiency or project outcomes
Help organize and maintain project files, documents, and records
Conduct research and gather information for ongoing initiatives and projects
Help prepare reports, presentations, or other materials as needed
Qualification
Required
Current student pursuing a degree in engineering (nuclear, chemical, mechanical, etc.) from an ABET accredited university required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Candidates must submit at least one letter of recommendation as part of the application process. Letters should be from a professor, academic advisor, employer, or professional mentor who can speak to the candidate's qualifications
