Junior Industrial Designer
Design Observer is seeking a Junior Industrial Designer to support the design and development of innovative products. The role involves collaborating with senior designers and engineers to create detailed design solutions that enhance product usability and market appeal.

Responsibilities
Assist in creating detailed 3D models, sketches, and prototypes of product designs using CAD software
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing to refine product concepts and ensure feasibility
Conduct research on materials, manufacturing processes, and market trends to inform design decisions
Support the preparation of presentations and documentation for design reviews and project updates
Participate in user testing and incorporate feedback to improve product functionality and aesthetics
Maintain organized records of design iterations, specifications, and project timelines
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the design process
Other duties based on business needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Rhino
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Procreate
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
Strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and creativity
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and tools
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and eco-friendly materials
Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, KeyShot and other 3d software
Internship or prior work experience in a manufacturing or product design setting
Understanding of ergonomic principles and human factors in design
