Responsibilities

Determine the design and performance parameters for control system applications

Determine system I/O maps and help specify hardware to meet existing design requirements in addition to accommodation of potential future system growth

Design automation, industrial, and critical environment controls system hardware and software

Develop PLC and HMI software to meet the functional requirements of the system

Support sales by visiting customer sites to support discussions related to the technical details of potential solutions

Provide direction and support through the construction process

Perform, oversee, assist, and sign off on final testing/commissioning of the completed systems

Initiate final technical documentation for completed projects (As-Builts)

Troubleshoot and debug PLC hardware and HMI/SCADA software

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for other technicians, customers, and sales teams

Responsible for maintaining current technical, interpersonal, and communication skills through continuous education/development. (school, reading, seminars, industry group membership, etc.)

Work with Engineering/Design team to create Submittal and Panel Drawings

Maintain clean driving record

Must be able to access and inspect all areas of building control and industrial machinery

Must be able travel for extended durations
