Responsibilities
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Process and record vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports in accordance with internal policies
Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations related to cash, payables, and accruals
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances identified during reconciliation processes
Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready financial records and documentation
Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice or payment inquiries
Support the Accounting Manager with ad-hoc reporting, audits, and special projects
Qualification
Required
1+ year of hands-on accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable and bank reconciliations
Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, reconciliation worksheets)
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
Preferred
Experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or human services environment
Familiarity with fund accounting and compliance reporting
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
