Early Childhood Student Intern
Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership is seeking an Early Childhood Student Intern to assist in the planning and implementation of daily educational activities for preschool students. The role involves supporting teachers in maintaining a safe learning environment and addressing the developmental needs of children in Springfield Public Schools.

Responsibilities
Assists with implementation of daily educational activities for preschoolers
Assists Teacher in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment (classroom) that is appropriate to the developmental level and learning style of the preschooler
Confers with the Teacher as to definite responsibilities and schedules to be carried out in the classroom
Assists the Teacher with organizing the child developmental folders
Provides appropriate staff-child interactions with the children
Supports the social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs of each child
Assists with preparation of inventory of classroom supplies
Qualification
Required
Must be at student enrolled at Putnam Early Education and Care program
A senior student or in the second semester of Junior year
Prior experience working in an early childhood education setting such as internships
Must be able to assist teacher with implementing lesson plans that meet the needs of all children assigned to the classroom
Must possess a positive attitude, flexible and able to work with diverse groups of people
Must be able to accurately enter data into the computer
