Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate development of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documentation: Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
Independently schedule and lead APQP readiness meetings with manufacturing engineering teams
Conduct weekly staff and prioritization meetings
Track and support recommended actions from PFMEAs
Review and/or develop: Process capability studies, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
Create final Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation
Present formal updates to stakeholders
Conduct shop floor activities: Shop walks, Pilot builds, Layout confirmations, Cleanliness checks, Machine evaluations
Ensure PPE compliance and safety standards on the shop floor
Support 6–8 concurrent projects across assembly and machining environments
Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to ensure quality readiness for capital programs
Coordinate with teams on metallurgical testing, metrology equipment, CMM programming, and validation results
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering + 8+ years of experience
Associate's Degree + 10+ years of experience
Master's Degree + 6+ years of experience
Proficiency in APQP elements: PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow
Quality and Manufacturing Engineering experience
Assembly or Machining background
Basic print reading
Familiarity with torque tooling, lifting devices, oil/cooling/pressure systems
Excel
PowerPoint
Microsoft Teams
Power BI
SharePoint
MS Office Suite
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Ability to lead without formal authority
Skilled in managing priorities across multiple projects
Comfortable facilitating cross-functional meetings (in-person and virtual)
Preferred
Hands-on experience in assembly manufacturing
Background in automotive, heavy industry, or aerospace sectors
Pharma experience is not relevant for this role
