Responsibilities

Manage all administrative needs for the President of WRPG and the SVP of Workman, Artisan, Black Dog & Leventhal and Workman Calendars. This includes managing their Outlook calendars, filing Concur expense reports, trafficking material for Publisher’s approval, ordering office supplies, mailing books, coding invoices, and the like
Schedule meetings, coordinate meeting and travel arrangements as well as business meals and department events
Draft correspondence on Publisher’s behalf and take meeting minutes when needed
Manage the department library and other curated shelves and meeting rooms; order books to keep them up to date
Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other materials for meetings as needed
Work alongside the President/Publisher and SVP/Publisher in implementing initiatives
Run select reports as needed

Required

Excellent inter-personal, oral and written communication skills
Time management, multi-tasking and organization skills essential
Detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Concur, Microsoft Teams, Jabber, as well as capability and interest in learning new applications
Ability to interact effectively and pro-actively with a diverse constituency, including department staff, senior management, support staff, authors, agents, and media
Ability to adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment and evolving industry

Preferred

Previous administrative experience supporting a senior executive preferred
Demonstrated interest in book publishing preferred
Research, editorial, and/or design skills a plus
