VCA Animal Hospitals is dedicated to the health of pets and excellent customer service. They are seeking a Client Service Representative to be the face of the practice, responsible for managing customer interactions and ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside

Required

Personable and highly professional demeanor
Ability to greet visitors and answer telephones
Experience in scheduling and confirming appointments
Ability to place outbound calls for follow-ups and reach out to prospective clients
Skill in presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
Ability to recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions
Knowledge to answer questions regarding products and services
Ability to educate clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
Experience in managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence
Ability to maintain hospital cleanliness, including removal of animal waste
