Responsibilities
Review, correct, and reconcile months-behind accounting records
Validate accuracy of P&L and Balance Sheet
Identify and fix misclassified or improperly posted transactions
Perform detailed transaction-level cleanup across accounting systems
Support financial catch-up and close efforts
Address sales tax and commission-related accounting issues
Partner with finance leadership to explain findings and recommend improvements
Operate independently in a fast-paced, imperfect environment
Qualification
Required
Senior Accountant or Controller-level background
Strong, hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar systems
Proven experience cleaning up historical or inaccurate financials
Ability to independently identify issues and execute corrections
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Operational, manufacturing, or transaction-heavy accounting environments
Experience with ERP cleanup or post-implementation stabilization
Exposure to mailing, presort, printing, or similar operational industries
Sales tax, commission accounting, or multi-revenue stream experience
Consulting or project-based accounting engagements
