Monterey Bay Aquarium is committed to diversity and inclusion, and they are offering an internship for STEM students to gain hands-on experience in their Applied Water Science Laboratory. Interns will assist with laboratory tasks, including microbiology and chemistry testing, and will design and present a final project related to applied water science.

Responsibilities

Assist water science laboratory staff with instrument calibration and maintenance

Conduct daily rounds

Perform chemistry and microbiology testing

Participate in laboratory safety training

Observe and assist applied water science staff, including aquatic life support operators, data management, and environmental discharge management

Design, implement, and present a final project pertinent to the Aquarium and Applied Water Science
