They are seeking a full-time Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant fluent in both English and Spanish, responsible for managing attorney calendars, preparing legal filings, and interacting with clients and courts.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Prepare a high volume of Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) filings and Form I-360 petitions
Assist with U Visas , VAWA , T Visas , and other humanitarian relief applications
Draft and assemble asylum , cancellation of removal , and withholding of removal applications
Draft legal correspondence, including motions to change venue and motions for continuance
Manage attorney calendars and coordinate court appearances , hearings , and client meetings
Communicate with immigration court (EOIR) and family court regarding case updates and filings
Track deadlines, update case management systems, and maintain internal spreadsheets and trackers
Translate documents and serve as an interpreter during Spanish-speaking client consultations
Use Excel to manage case data, evidence lists, and client records
Qualification
Required
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage time efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred
Prior experience in immigration law
