Responsibilities

Manage risk and compliance with regulatory authority for MMHI
Monitor all accreditation programs to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Coordinate and implement safety and risk management programs
Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance
Assess learning needs of staff
Arrange for and assist with safety related training for both institutions
Serve as the contact person on property insurance claims
Work with both facilities as part of the quality improvement/quality assurance teams to assure compliance with health and life safety regulations

Required

Experience in safety and risk management principles and practices in a commercial setting
Experience working with federal, state, and local regulatory authorities (e.g., responding to requests for information, providing tours, etc.)
Experience with commercial insurance claims
Experience working in environments where customer needs vary by risk level, acuity, or regulatory requirement
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have a minimum of two years non-probationary licensed driving experience with a regular (Class D) driver's license
Must be 18 years of age
Your driving record MUST NOT reflect any of the following conditions: Three or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past two years, Operating While Intoxicated (OWI)/Driving Under the Influence (DUI) citation within the past 12 months, Suspension or revocation of driver's license

Preferred

Experience with safety and risk management principles and practice in a healthcare setting
Experience preparing for a survey or evaluation from DQA and CMS
