ICONMA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III for a 6-month on-site role in Hickory, NC. The Mechanical Engineer III will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems, as well as managing projects and supporting R&D initiatives.

Responsibilities

Designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems, components, and equipment
Utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for machine design
Managing projects from initiation to completion
Supporting research and development initiatives to improve processes and products
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions on time

Required

Expertise in Mechanical Engineering with strong knowledge of Machine Design concepts
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and techniques
Experience in managing technical projects, including scheduling and resource allocation
Ability to support Research and Development (R&D) efforts to innovate and optimize designs
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Professional certifications or experience in manufacturing or similar industries are a plus
