Apprentice Lineworker
Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is committed to creating a diverse workforce. This position involves training both On-The-Job and in the Classroom to learn the skills required to advance toward a Lineworker position, assisting in various tasks related to overhead and underground services.

Responsibilities
Assist in the construction of new overhead and underground services and service upgrades
Assist linemen in restoring overhead and underground outages
Assist linemen in solving power quality issues
Assist linemen in maintaining existing overhead and underground line
Responsible for following all cooperative safety policies and procedures:
Performing tasks in a safe and responsible manner
Exhibit good work habits, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Good verbal and written skills
Must be willing to travel as needed
Must have a valid Florida Driver's License and able to get Florida Commercial Driver's License within 6 months of hire date
Able to pass a Pre-Apprentice Evaluation Test which includes being able to climb a distribution pole
Must be available to work overtime assignments and shift work as necessary
All employees covered by this agreement in the Operations Section shall reside at his or her permanent residence which is to be located no farther than thirty (30) road miles from 780 Amelia Island Parkway, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034, USA and be able to report no later than 45 minutes after the call is received
