Responsibilities
Create, document, and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases based on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Identify, log, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, providing clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
Perform various types of testing, including Functional, Regression, System, Ad-Hoc, Exploratory, Cross-Browser/Cross-Platform, and UAT
Test web applications, native mobile apps (iOS & Android), and OTT platforms across devices such as Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, and Smart TVs
Validate applications across different revenue models, including subscription, transactional, in-app purchases, and advertising
Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage
Monitor defect tracking portals and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
Provide testing estimates, identify project risks, and define fallback plans for testing cycles
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices
Coordinate with onsite and offshore teams as required
Qualification
Required
5+ Years of experience in QA
Detail-oriented with a strong background in manual testing
Experience testing web platforms and multiple operating systems (iOS, Android, HTML5, Connected/Living Room devices)
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes within an Agile/Scrum environment
Expertise in test documentation, including test plans and test cases
Hands-on experience with defect tracking and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence)
Experience in cross-platform and cross-browser testing
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work full-time onsite in NYC
Preferred
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Technology, Media, or Information Systems
Exposure to test automation frameworks or scripting languages
Experience assisting in the development and execution of automated test scripts for regression and core functionality
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
Experience testing Web Services (REST APIs, SOAP) in highly integrated environments
