Responsibilities
Manage daily cash positioning for all property-level and corporate bank accounts
Execute and record wire transfers, ACH payments, and intercompany fund movements
Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts to assist senior management in liquidity planning
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in daily banking activity or electronic payments
Maintain a schedule of all mortgage and loan obligations, ensuring timely debt service payments
Coordinate with lenders regarding escrow disbursements for property taxes and insurance
Assist in the preparation of compliance certificates and financial covenants
Support the acquisition and disposition teams by coordinating the opening/closing of bank accounts and prorating cash at closing
Perform monthly bank reconciliations within the accounting system (Yardi/MRI, JDE)
Record treasury-related journal entries, including interest expense, bank fees, and loan amortization
Facilitate the distribution process to investors and partners in accordance with operating agreements
Assist with year-end audits by providing supporting documentation for cash and debt balances
Qualification
Required
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience, specifically within the Real Estate industry (Commercial, Residential, or Industrial)
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Yardi Voyager, MRI, JDE or RealPage is highly preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
Knowledge: Understanding of real estate deal structures, including SPVs, joint ventures, and fund accounting
