Substitute REACH Site Assistant (Wishram)

NEOGOV is seeking a Substitute REACH Site Assistant to support educational services throughout Southwest Washington. The role involves assisting with student recruitment, supervising students, and supporting program logistics under the direction of the School Success Director.

Responsibilities

Assist in recruitment and retention of students
Support the curriculum as directed by the Site Coordinator
Assist with training volunteers
Be a liaison between the regular school staff and the REACH program as needed
Assist Site Coordinator with collection and evaluation of relevant data, state assessment, and other assessment for project planning and evaluation
Work with Site Coordinator to develop projects, special events, and family activities as described in the grant
Participate in program staff meetings including those with the local Advisory Council at least three times annually
Assist with program records and project reports
Supervise students
Collect data and report student progress
Maintain accurate data collection records
Participate in staff meetings, in-service programs, workshops and seminars
Other duties as assigned

Required

At least 18 years of age
A High School Diploma or GED
Must meet one of the following educational requirements: Associate's Degree (note: if offered a position, official transcripts are required prior to start date); OR 48 sem./72 quarter credits from an accredited college or university (note: if offered a position, official transcripts are required prior to start date); OR Passing score of 455 on the ParaPro Assessment; OR Passing score of 220 on the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment; OR 65% on The Master Teacher, Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program
Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI

Preferred

Three to five years school-based experience working with students, staff, administrators, and parents
Experience working with at-risk children
Experience in tutoring/assisting with instruction in reading and mathematics
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience creating reports and presentations
