Responsibilities

Designs and writes IBM i corporate software

Participates in the testing process to certify that the software performs as required

Consults with others in a multi-platform environment to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, including operational and performance requirements

Provides production support when needed

Interacts with various members of the business community through efficient and effective communication

Required

7+ years of experience in business system delivery using modern RPG techniques

Experienced with IBM i tools used for interacting in a three-tier architectural model

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required

Must know RPG, CLP, and SQL

Understands ILE concepts and is competent in their use

Experience with IBM Rational Developer for i a strong plus

Familiar with Service Oriented Architectural (SOA) principles

Self-starter with professional discipline who is at home with a fast-paced team environment
