New Grad, Entry LevelCherry Creek School District is seeking a Before and After School Assistant to provide active supervision of students in their school-based child care program. The role involves maintaining safe conditions, assisting with activities, and promoting good community relations among students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities
Completes all tasks assigned by director, assistant director, or leader
Follow procedures as stated in the ECS Procedures Manual
Participates and plays with students in structured and unstructured activities
Maintains safe conditions for students and staff
Follows and enforces program discipline policies and procedures
Assists with maintenance, proper storage, and repair of equipment, materials and supplies
Contributes ideas for enrichment activities, curriculum, and program quality
Demonstrates excellent communication with parents, students, school staff and co workers
Follows district policies and goals and uses district facilities with care
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Qualification
Required
The assistant must be at least 16 years of age
Assistants must work directly under the supervision of the director, assistant director or leader
Each year of employment, the assistant must complete at least 15 clock hours of training
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Current First Aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain within thirty (30) days
The assistant must demonstrate an ability to work with school age children
Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire
Preferred
Experience working in a paid licensed child-care program, teaching assistant/para-educator, or licensed teaching
Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement
