Director, Community-Engaged Research & Impact
Tulane University is seeking a Director for their Community-Engaged Research & Impact role. The Assistant Director will oversee the assessment and research portfolio, promote community-engaged research, and pursue grant funding opportunities to enhance the university's social impact efforts.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the Center wide assessment and research portfolio, promoting and supporting community-engaged research across CPS’ constituencies and advancing engaged methods as a social impact tool for the University
Working with CPS program staff and evaluation consultant(s) to ensure program assessment plans inform data collection and usage that improve program decision-making
Promotes student and faculty community-engaged research projects while actively participating in and/or creating Center-based engaged research initiatives, which can include creating and hosting webinars, symposiums, courses, and other activities that educate and/or train engaged researchers across the campus
Actively pursues grant funding opportunities that further advance CPS’ community-engaged research portfolio and strategic priority of social impact
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated commitment to engaged-research practices, methods, and principles
Knowledge and application of qualitative & quantitative data management/analysis tools
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced office balancing multiple initiatives simultaneously
Willingness to work non-traditional hours
Knowledge and application of MS Suite applications
Master's Degree
At least three years of experience in community engaged research, especially in higher education
Preferred
At least 3 years of experience in higher education working with service-learning theory and pedagogy, experiential education programs, community engagement or engaged scholarship
At least 3 years of experience investigating funding opportunities, engaging funders, designing and proposal concepts, and writing proposal drafts
A demonstrated understanding of the relationship between engaged work/practices/methods and social impacts
Ph.D. or other terminal degree
Two (2) years of experience conducting program assessment
Three-to-four (3-4) years of experience conducting community-engaged research
Three-to-four (3-4) years of experience developing academic programs and curricula
Two (2) years of experience writing grant proposals and engaging grant funders
