Universal Processing LLC is a minority-owned Fintech company that empowers small to medium-sized businesses. The Technical Support Intern will provide support for a partner migration project, assisting with device handling, inventory tracking, and basic deployment support.

Responsibilities

Learn and understand the basic characteristics and use cases of common payment terminals and PIN pads (PAX, Dejavoo, Valor, etc.) to support inventory and deployment operations

Assist with large-scale terminal reprogramming projects related to MID changes and account migrations

Support inventory management in the Houston office, including tracking device status, serial numbers, and movement

Become familiar with device-related CRM and internal systems, and assist with simple deployment and replacement requests

Learn the basic operation and configuration of payment devices, and help with entry-level troubleshooting tasks

Assist in processing merchant applications and entering client information into internal systems

Provide technical assistance for inbound questions related to terminal hardware under supervision

Help ensure deployment tasks are completed accurately and within required timelines

Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin-Chinese is required, both written and verbal

Must be currently pursuing or have graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in a STEM field

Strong ownership mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment

Good communication skills and willingness to learn technical concepts

Able to take initiative and solve problems with guidance

Detail-oriented and able to complete tasks before deadlines

Able to work both independently and as part of a team

Proficient in MS Excel and Word (tracking, documentation, basic reporting)
