Benefits Consultant
Corning Incorporated is a leading innovator in glass, ceramic, and materials science. The Benefits Consultant will oversee vendor partnerships and manage day-to-day service issues related to Corning’s Health and Welfare benefits, acting as a liaison between vendor partners and the Benefits TPA while providing recommendations for benefit program changes.

Responsibilities
Have direct oversite of vendor partnerships and day-to-day service issues/escalations of Corning’s Health and Welfare benefits
Serve as liaison between vendor partners and Benefits TPA to resolve member escalations
Provide recommendations for benefit program changes based on the employee risk profile, business needs and market practice
Contribute towards design / revision of current programs and lead/participate in the implementation of new initiatives
Assess the effectiveness of the current program against the overall C&B strategy
Provide management information to senior stakeholders on the utilization, impact, and outcomes of C&B programs
Oversite for Corning’s data warehouse and track market intelligence/trends, conducting in-depth analysis to generate trends and recommendations
Work with benefit partners to develop member communications to drive awareness of benefit programs/offering
Maintain accurate and current SBCs and SPDs of appropriate health and welfare benefits
Interfaces directly with Managers, Human Resource Business Partners, Health Services, and Corporate Legal regarding problems, solutions, and clarifications of ongoing benefits administration, as necessary
Remain knowledgeable and current on industry trends and ACA regulatory changes
Maintain general knowledge pertaining to all ERISA compliance requirements
Collaborate with compliance specialists to review and prepare documents, policies, and administrative practices to ensure compliance with HIPAA
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as directed
Qualification
Required
Business degree in Business, Human Resources, or related fields
5-7 years work experience (corporate or business environment)
Preferred
Proven relationship management skills - must gain cooperation and acceptance/approval in resolving problems, and/or negotiating with other stakeholders to arrive at an agreement
Strong writing and presentation skills for a variety of audiences
Ability to synthesize a variety of data to produce a cohesive and well-documented product
Proven knowledge of project management principles and approach
Demonstrated ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative analyses and to communicate these to a variety of audiences
