The Rehabilitation Support Technician will be responsible for clerical duties within the rehabilitation department, assisting the rehab staff with patient preparation and maintaining departmental organization and cleanliness.

Responsibilities
Assists in transfers and stand by assistance of a licensed therapist during skilled interventions
Assists Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and/or Exercise Physiologists by retrieving needed equipment, setting up the environment of care prior to treatments, cleaning equipment, and maintaining department supplies
Assists with rehabilitation department clerical tasks
Transports patients to and from department or room via wheelchair or stretcher
Performs regular sweeps of all patient areas to locate ambulatory assistive devices and returns them to their proper location
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED
Less than 1 year
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to understand and follow instructions
Strong word processing skills
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Strong customer service orientation
Knowledge of medical terminology
American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
Preferred
Previous healthcare-related experience/training preferred
Meets priorities and handles multiple tasks
Utilizes good judgment in planning work and acting within the limits of standard practice
Data entry and maintenance skills (Excel)
