Commercial Analyst

STV is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join their Corporate Commercial Project team. The role involves managing commercial aspects of Architecture and Engineering projects, focusing on risk management and cost control to enhance financial performance.

Responsibilities

Adhere to commercial processes and procedures
In conjunction with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager establish a commercial strategy with clear commercial objectives
Ensure all correspondence and meeting records from the Contractor are reviewed and responded to accordingly, advising the Commercial Manager of any correspondence that correspondence of a contractual nature
Identify commercial risks and opportunities and manage them through to conclusion to minimize STV liability
Manage the submission of potential change orders in accordance with Project contractual obligations
Prepare timely sub-consultant agreements, coordinating scope (including co-ordination and other matters) with the appropriate engineering staff
Administer sub-consultant agreements to ensure liabilities are accurate, payments are made in accordance with their respective agreements, and all necessary correspondence is issued
Assist with the co-ordination of claims to ensure responses are provided in a timely manner
Provide accurate Operating Statements (OpStats), including subconsultant liability analysis, potential change order logs, and Cost to Complete (CTC) reports in accordance with STV procedures
Ensure accurate records are maintained
Develop and maintain various logs, tables, and analysis to support commercial activities
Fulfil any other task that can be reasonably within the contemplation of the role

Required

Up to 3 years commercial management experience desired
Technical knowledgeable in commercial, contract and risk management
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to resolve problems independently and operate efficiently under pressure
Degree in construction, engineering or related discipline
