Responsibilities

Write, edit, proofread, and format proposals and bids
Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to identify key requirements and response strategies
Develop proposals by gathering and organizing information on project objectives, deliverables, timelines, staffing, and evaluation criteria
Break down complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content
Meet deadlines by managing priorities and coordinating with contributors across departments
Ensure all responses are complete, compliant, and consistent in tone and messaging
Draft and edit copy for marketing collateral, presentations, blog posts, email campaigns, and social media
Collaborate with the Marketing team to align all content with ESS’ voice, goals, and strategy

Required

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in writing and editing within a marketing, proposal, or communications team
Proven experience responding to RFPs and creating long-form, persuasive content
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher)
Enthusiasm to support the team and go beyond standard responsibilities when needed

Preferred

Familiarity with proposal management tools such as Responsive
