Responsibilities
Accurately and consistently execute and record experimental methods, materials, and results
Become an expert on the operation of the high-throughput sequencing platform
Design, implement, and analyze sequencing results from various microfluidic device process changes and operating parameters
Investigate, troubleshoot, conduct failure analysis, and perform device development in a fast-paced environment
Debug instrumentation, device, and software issues to create a robust platform
Understand and apply statistical methods, design of experiments, and/or process control monitoring techniques
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualification
Required
B.S. in bioengineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, statistics, or a related discipline with a background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or surface/materials science
1–5 years of applicable industry experience (preferably 2+ years)
Meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and electronic record-keeping skills
Proficiency in writing technical reports and verbally communicating with technical staff
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across experimental work, instruments, devices, software, and reagents
Experimental design experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work well in a team
Preferred
Experience with statistical data analysis using JMP or Python
Python programming experience
Understanding of or experience with DNA manipulation techniques, sequencing methodologies, or other wet laboratory instrumentation
