Workforce Program Manager

PSI is a workforce company in Washington DC seeking a Program Manager for their DC Branch Location. The Program Manager will lead a workforce development program that tackles unemployment and supports low-income and underserved job seekers, overseeing program operations and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and management of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Develop and execute performance management strategies, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure program goals and outcomes are achieved
Cultivate and manage partnerships with government agencies, community organizations, and service providers to expand program reach and support client self-sufficiency
Provide leadership and mentorship to program staff, including onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development
Utilize data-driven decision-making and analytics to identify trends, refine program strategies, and maximize impact for participants
Conduct audits, prepare compliance reports, and collaborate with legal or compliance teams to address any regulatory issues
Spearhead strategic initiatives to enhance program efficiency and revenue, including optimizing processes and implementing targeted outreach strategies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Business, or a related field
2+ years of program management experience, preferably within workforce development, social services, or nonprofit sectors
Strong knowledge of TANF regulations, compliance requirements, and performance management systems
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
Proven experience in building partnerships and managing stakeholder relationships
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
Are you willing to work TEMP TO PERM? Usually 4-5 months before becoming PERM?

Preferred

Master's degree
Workforce Program Management: 2 years
Strong knowledge of TANF regulations: 2 years
