Functional Symptoms and Pain Clinical Child Psychologist

The Children’s Behavioral and Mental Health Center is seeking a Clinical Psychologist with experience in pediatric populations to provide evidence-based therapy and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based interventions in the form of individual, group, and/or family therapy
Work closely with child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, behavioral and mental health therapists (LCSWs and LPCs), and nurse case managers to develop and implement a comprehensive care plan for each patient
Participate in the training of psychology doctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows as well as other behavioral mental health trainees
Qualification
Required
PhD or PsyD from an APA/CPA accredited program
Completed an APA accredited child internship
Expertise in treating children and adolescents using evidence-based treatment approaches
Licensed or licensed-eligible in Georgia prior to employment
Must obtain board certification within hospital timelines
Preferred
Experience in working with pediatric populations with concerns related to functional symptoms and pain
Strong background in the application of cognitive behavioral therapy for functional conditions and pain
Experience within pediatric psychology practices
