Responsibilities
Oversees a Tire Compliance Unit, responsible for implementing CalRecycle’s statewide Waste Tire Enforcement Program
Manage and mitigate the impacts of used and waste tires on public health and safety, and the environment
Ensure that waste tire facilities comply with tire permitting, storage, and movement laws, regulations, and state minimum standards
Provide first-line supervision for the Environmental Scientist (ES) and Integrated Waste Management Specialist (IWMS) staff
Apply principles of scientific research, physical and environmental sciences, knowledge of statistical methods or analysis, integrated waste management, industry economics, public health, resource management, assessment, enforcement of technical documents, operations, and monitoring records as they relate to the review, inspection, assessment and enforcement of waste tire regulated entities to ensure compliance with California’s waste tire laws and regulations

A valid California Drivers License (CDL)
