Responsibilities

Define, implement, and continuously improve SDLC frameworks (discovery → planning → build → test → release → operate) tailored to a complex product suite; institute stage gates and quality bars that accelerate delivery without sacrificing rigor
Establish quarterly planning, readiness reviews, change control, and release governance; lead cross functional forums that align priorities, unblock decisions, and drive timely outcomes
Partner with Product and Engineering to balance capacity across initiatives, manage dependencies, and ensure roadmaps are realistic, sequenced, and resourced for success
Define KPIs and build dashboards that reveal health and drive action; run post-mortems and convert learning into systemic improvements
Embed test strategies, security/privacy controls, and operational readiness (observability, SRE practices, runbooks) into the development process; ensure auditability and traceability
Own product readiness checkpoints, partnering with Product Marketing, Field Enablement, Support, and Finance to ensure documentation, pricing/COGS, training, and GTM assets are complete
Build deep relationships with senior stakeholders; facilitate trade-offs across teams; communicate crisply to executives on risk, impact, and decisions needed
Lead and grow a Product Operations organization; set clear expectations, coach managers, develop talent pipelines, and cultivate a high-trust, high-performance culture
Champion tools and automation that improve signal quality and reduce operational toil; drive adoption and best practices across Jira (planning/issue management), Aha (portfolio/roadmap management), and Confluence (knowledge management and governance)
Partner with Finance on budget cycles, cost transparency, and operational efficiency; ensure investment choices reflect business value and risk

Required

15+ years in software product organizations, with increasing responsibility across product, engineering, or program leadership roles
15+ years in software, hands-on mastery of SDLC practices, and a proven ability to build trust, influence outcomes, and grow high performing teams
Direct experience designing, managing, and improving SDLC practices in a software company with a complex product portfolio
Demonstrated success running portfolio-level operating rhythms (roadmaps, capacity planning, PI/QBRs) and shipping customer-ready releases predictably at scale
Proven ability to influence by building strong relationships across Product, Engineering, Security, Finance, Sales/CS, and Executive leadership
People management experience leading managers and ICs; track record of developing talent and building inclusive, high-performing teams
Hands-on familiarity with delivery practices (DevOps, CI/CD, SRE/observability, test automation, change management) and enterprise-grade compliance expectations
Extensive experience with tooling: Jira, Aha, and Confluence, including configuration of workflows, templates, and dashboards; history of driving adoption and governance across large, cross-functional teams
Excellence in executive communication: synthesizing complex information, articulating trade-offs, and driving decision-making in ambiguous contexts
Bachelor/Master's degree in Engineering, (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related) and MBA or equivalent business education with strong product/business orientation and portfolio stewardship responsibilities
