The role emphasizes machine vision, high-speed laser scanning, precision motion, and software-driven control, from system architecture through tool qualification.

Responsibilities

Design and integrate automation systems for semiconductor equipment
Develop and synchronize laser scanning, vision, motion, and instrumentation
Architect timing, triggering, and synchronization for high-throughput inspection
Develop system software using LabVIEW and other high-level languages as needed
Tune precision motion systems and closed-loop control
Support tool bring-up, FAT/SAT, and customer qualification
Debug complex system-level issues across hardware and software

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in EE, Automation, Mechatronics, Physics, or related field
7+ years of experience in semiconductor or precision automation equipment
Strong background in machine vision and optical inspection systems
Experience with high-speed laser scanning or laser-based measurement systems
Proficiency in LabVIEW for automation, vision, or instrumentation
Solid understanding of precision motion, timing, and synchronization
Hands-on experience bringing complex equipment from prototype to production

Preferred

TDI or line-scan camera systems
IPC-based control architectures or real-time software systems
NI ecosystem (LabVIEW RT, PXI, Vision Development Module, DAQ)
Vision libraries or SDKs (Halcon, OpenCV, Cognex, etc.)
SECS/GEM or fab automation standards
AI-assisted inspection or data-driven automation
