Responsibilities

Translate business requirements and policy documentation into detailed test cases and scenarios

Develop test plans, QA strategies, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes

Build and maintain test cases within test management systems

Ensure SDLC traceability from requirements through testing and deployment

Execute functional, regression, negative, usability, and UI testing

Test applications for reliability, stability, and performance

Design and execute automated testing scripts where applicable

Participate in defect triage, retesting, and resolution activities

Prepare QA documentation, metrics, and status reports

Follow established QA governance, standards, and best practices

Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections

Clearly communicate testing status, risks, and defects to development teams

Qualification

Healthcare QATest case developmentTest management toolsAutomated testing toolsAgile methodologiesCommunication skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

5+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios

5+ years building test cases and scenarios within test systems

3+ years of deep knowledge of healthcare operations business processes (Medicaid preferred)

3+ years hands-on experience with formal test design tools

Proficiency in manual and/or automated testing tools such as Azure DevOps, Atlassian JIRA, and Confluence

Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, healthcare, or related field

Relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education

Preferred

5+ years experience with large enterprise or e-business systems

3+ years experience working in both Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile environments

Healthcare operations experience specifically supporting Medicaid programs
