HR Generalist

Responsibilities

Support full-cycle recruiting efforts, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates
Assist with interview scheduling and candidate follow-up to ensure a positive candidate experience
Support hiring managers throughout the recruiting process
Manage and process new hire onboarding in Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Coordinate onboarding documentation, orientation schedules, and first-day logistics
Provide payroll support by assisting with data entry, audits, and issue resolution to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
Monitor and respond to inquiries submitted to the HR inbox
Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and general questions
Escalate complex issues to leadership as appropriate
Assist with administering FMLA and other leave of absence requests
Track leave usage and ensure documentation is complete and compliant
Support the administration and response process for Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) claims
Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed
Support compliance efforts related to employment laws and internal policies
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters

Required

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Basic understanding of HR laws and regulations (FMLA, payroll, employment compliance)
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Customer-service mindset with the ability to support employees professionally
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and grow within the HR function

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Familiarity with Paylocity or other HRIS platforms
