Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) Support
Abacus Service Corporation is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to provide enterprise-level support across the U.S. Government Publishing Office's systems. The role involves ensuring the integrity, performance, and availability of Oracle databases, managing database performance tuning, and collaborating with application and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities
Provide enterprise-level Oracle database administration and development support across GPO's systems, ensuring the integrity, performance, and availability of Oracle databases and related components such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases in production and development environments
Manage database performance tuning, backup/recovery, patching, and migration
Support schema design, PL/SQL development, and database security compliance
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to optimize Oracle environments
Respond to user support requests and assist in Oracle-related troubleshooting
Support Requests for Change (RFCs) and system maintenance activities
Deliver weekly support activity reports documenting progress and issues
Qualification
Required
Minimum 8 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in enterprise or federal environments
Expertise in Oracle RAC, PL/SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
Proven experience in database optimization, patching, and performance troubleshooting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Equivalent experience (10+ years) may substitute for degree
U.S Citizen
Preferred
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Oracle Database Administrator
Oracle Database 19c or later certification preferred
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent for IT security compliance
