Responsibilities
Help oversee procurement, vendor relationships, and inventory management for various commodities in grain and animal nutrition
Develop and implement purchasing strategies
Anticipate demand, monitor market trends, and ensure optimal stock availability
Work closely with other staff and the VP of feed to align procurement strategies with business goals while optimizing costs without compromising quality or service
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation
Strong understanding of inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply chain optimization
Analytical skills to assess market trends, pricing, and commodity data
Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
Proficiency in relevant software for purchasing and inventory management
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Previous experience in the agriculture or cooperative sector is a plus
