Program Manager - Climate Resilience
Ecology Action is dedicated to advancing equitable community climate solutions and reducing GHG emissions. They are seeking a Program Manager to lead and coordinate climate resilience initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs while managing partnerships and project deliverables.

Responsibilities
Monitoring progress toward grant deliverables
Managing partners and subcontractors participating in RCC and CJC projects, helping set scopes of work and then ensuring ongoing performance management, invoicing, task completion and reporting are occurring on schedule
Establishing and maintaining Asana and other project tools to ensure accurate project tracking, staff assignments, and outcomes
Leading strategy and execution of the RCC including online and in person community engagement campaigns
Building and managing partnerships with civic, faith-based, youth, and community organizations to deepen engagement and support local leadership development
Partnering with frontline-serving organizations to build capacity and expand equitable access to RCC resources, integrating partners into program design, strategy, and funding roles
Supporting leadership teams in facilitating effective climate action meetings by providing tools, agendas, and strategic guidance with key partners and stakeholders
Plan, develop, design and deliver webinars and technical assistance trainings on local climate risks, emergency preparedness, residential home electrification and emerging resilience topics, aligned with grant deliverables and RCC leadership priorities, including content development, partner coordination, evaluation and marketing support
Monitoring RCC homepage and RCC action platforms' performance and user engagement, using data to guide strategy and improvements
Developing and managing systems to track participation, user activity, and impact, with regular reporting to stakeholders
Overseeing content updates to ensure accurate, up-to-date incentives, rebates, and educational resources in collaboration with partners
Coordinating cross-functional efforts to ensure platform usability, accessibility, and alignment with community engagement goals
Helping set and manage program budgets and resourcing in partnership with the Senior Director of Climate Leadership and the Development Team
Sustain business sponsorship relationships and solicitations and member agency fees and oversee funding pipeline projections for RCC
Collaborating with leadership team, partners and Budget Analyst team to create and manage initiative-level budgets and resourcing plans annually, including developing staff workplan hour projections
Ensuring appropriate expenditure and accurate budget accounting (including timesheet reporting) by staff billable to projects
Recruiting, leading, mentoring, and training assigned staff, interns and fellows
Monitoring and evaluating team performance, providing constructive feedback and recognition
Promoting a positive and inclusive work culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and diversity
Qualification
Required
Minimum of in project and contract management and leadership
Minimum of 5 years' experience in community climate programming, community organizing, community driven/equitable decision-making processes, environmental education, government funded environmental programs or related fields
Experience coordinating multiple partners and maintaining high functioning, collaborative relationships with both government and nonprofit staff and community members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with and/or training in climate justice, diversity, equity and inclusion best practices
Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint as well as collaborative workspaces including Asana and Teams
High level of competency with MS Excel
Strongly committed to equitable climate change action with a focus on activating individual and community engagement in solutions for a thriving people and planet
Superb time management and organization
Familiarity or experience working with public agencies, nonprofits and community groups, ideally in Monterey Bay Area
Demonstrated experience leading and organizing teams or groups to make decisions, track action steps and move initiatives forward
Ability to collaborate and lead with respect and inclusiveness in a cross-functional, matrixed work environment
Valid Driver License and reliable vehicle
Preferred
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Experience community organizing in Monterey Bay Area
Experience with community engagement programs in active transportation, youth bike and walk programs, electric vehicle market transformation, water conservation or food waste
Experience working with BIPOC, farm working and vulnerable communities
Ability to develop program strategies and solutions and facilitate team consideration and adoption
Ability to work alone and be self-motivated
