Responsibilities

Manage major building projects at all GFC locations
Assist with development of new GFC construction projects
Onsite owner representative for new GFC building construction. Including working with contractors on construction documents and blueprints
Help with construction decisions and work with construction budgets
Control the frequency of upcharges or change orders that can impact the budget but are not necessary
Manage and control construction budgets
Manage all ongoing internal projects and building repairs, coordinating with managers and adhering to budgets
Ensure that all Safety and Security measures are complete at all GFC building locations
Work closely with all GFC Onsite Building Managers or Supervisors and assist with major maintenance projects
Coordinate internal changes on workstation and office assignments and coordinate internal movement of employees
Create and streamline facilities operations with companywide practices using the best procedures from each office
Prepare preventative maintenance plans for Gordon Flesch Company properties
Oversee development of project schedules and ensures communication with all areas impacted by projects
Ensure all facility maintenance checklists are completed and up to date
Manage building and grounds needs
When GFC acquires other businesses, responsible for the buildings new GFC signage and the building items inventory
When GFC acquires other businesses, responsible for the sale of acquired company’s vehicles to their employees and/or car dealerships
Provide leadership in project meetings involving architects, support departments, users, and construction representatives
Monitor projects to completion; maintains schedule, adheres to cost, resolves problems, and assures performance quality
Exercises independent judgment in making administrative and procedural decisions on sensitive, complex, or confidential issues
Provide leadership and direction as needed to local facilities management employees to ensure consistent best practices are applied and maximum value is achieved on all service providers. Will have a dotted line management level of authority for these positions in each GFC location
Supervise and develop members of the Madison Facilities team including, hiring, firing, work allocation, training, and problem resolution
Ensure that the work environment is safe, including compliance with OSHA standards and documentation

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
5 -10 years of successful facilities management experience
Experience with managing a budget
Background in Building Construction
Prior experience in new construction project management
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and to all GFC locations
Valid driver's license and appropriate auto insurance as dictated by state requirements
Access to reliable transportation
