This role involves performing procurement and contract administration duties, including developing solicitation documents and managing the bid process.

Responsibilities
Assists in the development of documents such as Request for Quotes (RFQs), Sole Source and Request for Proposals (RFPs). Creates and posts solicitation in Team Georgia Marketplace and/or the Georgia Procurement Registry. Participates in the vendor response evaluation process. Conducts analysis of vendor responses
Assists Divisions/Hospitals/Offices in writing bid specifications for procurement of services, goods and commodities
Collaborates with Budget and Program Offices to determine appropriate solicitation development decisions
Initiates and manages the bid process according to established procedures and professional standards
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
GCPM- Georgia Certified Purchasing Manager
Associate degree in accounting or business or a directly related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of job-related experience in a procurement environment, which included one (1) year in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role; or Technical diploma in accounting or business from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of job-related experience in a procurement environment which included one (1) year in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Procurement Agent 3 (FEP022) or position equivalent
