Responsibilities

Conduct technical inspections of new, used, or reconditioned medical equipment
Perform maintenance actions, including repairs, calibrations, preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS), and overhauls of medical equipment
Ensure compliance with military and federal regulations regarding biomedical equipment safety and performance standards
Utilize authorized Army Automation Systems, including but not limited to:
Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS)
Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E)
Theater Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS)
Global Combat Support System (GCSS)
Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for technical support and equipment updates
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance actions in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements
Assist in risk assessment and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
Support inventory management and tracking of biomedical equipment
Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new biomedical equipment
Assist in logistics planning and equipment deployment in support of operational readiness

Required

BMET's shall be a graduate of the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Equipment Repairers Course or certified through the International Certification Commission (CBET) or have at least earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Equipment Technology
Minimum 6 years of experience as a BMET
Must possess knowledge maintenance actions: technical inspections, repair, calibrations/PMCS, and overhaul of medical equipment
Ability to follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
Good communication and time management skills
Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance
Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa
