Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Buckeye Corrugated, Inc. is a privately held, employee-owned company specializing in corrugated packaging products. They are seeking a Machine Operator who will be responsible for safely operating equipment, monitoring product quality, and ensuring efficiency in a manufacturing plant setting.

Responsibilities

Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times
Operate printing presses and/or die cutters to make a variety of corrugated products
Monitor product quality and ensure that the quality control systems are being utilized properly
Drive production and efficiency of assigned machine center
Record production statistics within our ERP system
Become knowledgeable of paper properties, setting up a press and managing colors
Maintain machine to ensure all preventative maintenance has been completed by the scheduled time
Ensure that equipment is clean and organized
Ensure that all safety guards are in place and operate properly on the machine
Assist in training new associates to safely perform their duties in the most efficient way possible while upholding the highest quality standards
Recommend changes in methods, equipment, material handling and similar projects for improvements in efficiencies or standards of practice
Promote morale and wellness of Crew Members

Required

Preferred

Machine operator or other manufacturing operator experience preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
