Senior RFIC Test Engineer (Temp)

They are seeking a Senior RFIC Test Engineer to develop and optimize RF test methodologies for mmWave 5G beamforming RFICs, collaborating with design teams to ensure performance and accuracy in testing.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with RFIC design teams to develop and execute comprehensive verification plans for new designs
Support bench-level RFIC characterization and assist design engineers with detailed measurements and debugging
Correlate key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurements across IC bench-level, system-level, and end-to-end over-the-air testing
Support the design and development of new RFIC evaluation boards and test structures
Develop test plans, test reports, and measurement methodologies for mmWave RFIC testing
Establish best practices and processes to improve test efficiency, data accuracy, and lab productivity
Perform technical analysis of test equipment and provide recommendations to the team to support all test requirements.Stay up-to-date in RF testing technology and industry trends
Mentor junior RFIC Test Engineers
Support the design and development of software frameworks and automation scripts, including tools for post-processing RF test data
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong understanding of RF circuits, transceiver operation, and measurement theory
Hands-on experience in characterizing mmWave RFIC devices at bench and probe level using RF test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators, phase noise analyzers, oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, and digital multimeters
Hands-on experience with RF de-embedding of test fixtures and evaluation boards
Strong understanding of digital interface, register control, and SPI protocol
Ability to analyze test data to evaluate accuracy, validate results, and ensure methodology robustness
Ability to document and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance productivity, streamline communication, and minimize errors
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical data and findings
Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Proficiency in Python (or other scripting languages) for RF test automation, data post-processing, and development of device control drivers and user interfaces
Experience managing software development with GitHub for version control and collaboration with software engineering teams
Experience developing software in a Linux environment
Familiarity with FPGA platforms and associated software stacks
Experience using Altium for schematic design and development of evaluation boards
