The State of Missouri's Department of Corrections is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Deputy Division Director of Human Resources. Responsibilities

Serve as the Administrative Assistant to the Deputy Division Director of Human Resources for the Division of Adult Institutions
Direct a variety of support functions for the human resources leadership team
Compose and draft correspondence related to Human Resource functions
Respond to inquiries from state officials, staff and constituents regarding agency matters
Provide complex administrative assistance, schedule meetings, make travel arrangements and provide technical support
Prepare and process out-of-state travel authorizations, expense accounts, process mail and various documents for section team members
Oversee and ensure the accurate, timely preparation of personnel, purchasing, and related documents
Monitor the unit’s operating budgets
Exercise independence in decision making based on agency policy and practice
Contribute positively as part of a team, assisting with various tasks as required to help carry out the department’s mission of Improving Lives for Safer Communities
Perform other related work as assigned

Required

One or more years of experience as an Administrative Support Assistant (SOSA) with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
Four or more years of office or related clerical experience; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency
Training from an accredited vocational or business school in Office Management, Secretarial Science, or a closely related field may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours, or 480 clock hours, for one year
Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours for one year
Detail-oriented, organized and have the ability to multi-task
Possess professional oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate in a friendly, welcoming and professional manner in person and by phone
Compose and draft correspondence related to Human Resource functions as well as respond to inquiries from state officials, staff and constituents regarding agency matters
Provide complex administrative assistance, schedule meetings, make travel arrangements and provide technical support, prepare and process out-of-state travel authorizations, expense accounts, process mail and various documents for section team members

$1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility
Guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years
