Start in 2026 SummerFarm Bureau Financial Services is seeking college students for their IT internship program for Summer 2026. Interns will work closely with experienced developers, gaining real-world experience in project work, production support, and learning about the insurance industry and agile methodology.

Responsibilities
Work closely with tenured developers to develop skills required for career in Information Technology
Gain real world experience related to project work, production support, and technical requirements
Explore different areas of Information Technology by participating in divisional activities
Learn about Farm Bureau Financial Services and the insurance industry by participating in organizational events
Learn about agile methodology by participating in daily stand ups, sprint planning, grooming and retros
Qualification
Required
Be a college student pursuing a Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree
A quick learner who is looking to learn new concepts and ideas
Must have strong verbal & written communication skills and be a team player
Must possess good problem-solving skills
Must be a self-starter, take initiative and be highly motivated
Be dependable and able to work a 38.75-hour work week during summer 2026 in-person from our office in West Des Moines, IA
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis
Preferred
Completion of coding courses such as JavaScript is preferred
