Start in 2026 SummerAtkinsRéalis is a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization seeking an Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in their Richland, WA office. The intern will perform engineering design reviews, assist with cost estimating, and conduct basic engineering analyses to support design evaluations.

Responsibilities
Perform engineering design reviews, including reviewing technical drawings, and design documents, as well as summarizing findings in design review reports
Attend design review meetings, take detailed notes, and document key decisions
Conduct basic engineering analyses and calculations to support design evaluations
Assist with cost estimating, including researching prices for equipment based on specifications
Assists with document production and control including PEP's, schedules, minutes, field reports and presentations
Performs data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations
Prepares material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing rough outline, and/or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations
Qualification
Required
Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or mechanical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026)
No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Willing to work a 4/10 schedule
Preferred
Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD
Experience with structural analysis software
