Automotive General Sales Manager
Automotive Search Group is seeking an Automotive General Sales Manager for a busy import dealership just outside of Concord, NH. The General Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the dealership's sales team and ensuring a positive customer experience while driving sales growth.
Responsibilities
As the General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the dealerships sales team
Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve sales goals
Manage the sales process and incoming leads, including appointments, negotiations, and closing sales
Ensuring proper follow up of all prospective buyers by developing, implementing, and monitoring a CRM system
Actively work to close / TO deals and work the desk
Conducting daily and weekly sales and sales training meetings
Lead and manage the F&I Department
Coach sales team on proper closing techniques through training and active participation
Maintain positive relationships with all customers, internal staff, and external vendors
Hire, motivate, and monitor the performance of all new/used vehicle sales employees
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth
Foster a positive and high-performing sales culture by setting targets, motivating the team, and resolving conflicts
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing automotive sales
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors
Communicate with Dealer Principal on pressing issues, strategy, and overall well-being of the dealership
Qualification
Required
Proven track record as a Sales Manager / GSM in a new car dealership
Strong background in used cars
Professional and articulate demeanor
Ability to lead by example, coach, and mentor employees
Experience managing day-to-day operations of a sales team
Ability to provide guidance, training, and support to achieve sales goals
Experience managing the sales process and incoming leads
Ability to develop, implement, and monitor a CRM system
Experience in closing deals and working the desk
Experience conducting sales training meetings
Ability to maintain positive relationships with customers, internal staff, and external vendors
Experience hiring, motivating, and monitoring performance of sales employees
Ability to monitor and analyze sales performance metrics
Ability to foster a positive and high-performing sales culture
Knowledge of compliance with laws and regulations governing automotive sales
Up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors
Ability to communicate effectively with Dealer Principal on pressing issues and strategy
