Case Manager (Hybrid)
Community Legal Aid SoCal (CLA SoCal) is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the legal needs of low-income residents and seniors throughout Orange and Los Angeles Counties. They are seeking an Entry-Level Case Manager to provide holistic case management services, including referrals and advocacy, while supporting clients' autonomy and self-determination.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Dependent on grant, provide services to a specific client population & assist with grant reporting and tracking grant deliverables
Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments and develop individualized case plans based on client needs
Provide a full range of case management services, including referrals, warm handoffs, reassessments, and progress monitoring
Empower clients to participate in goal setting and case planning while supporting their autonomy and restoring a sense of control
Maintain regular contact with clients, providing emotional support during legal proceedings and brief crisis intervention as needed
Build and maintain rapport with clients, legal teams, and community partners, providing trauma-informed guidance and consultation
Observe confidentiality of the attorney-client relationship and ensure professional documentation in the Case Management System
Identify gaps in community services, contribute to service development, and evaluate the availability and effectiveness of supportive services
Travel to meet clients safely, attend community outreach events, and rotate among CLA offices (Santa Ana, Norwalk, Compton) as required and when needed
Provide case management perspective trauma responsive education to legal team
Provide consultation and in-service training to staff
Attend in community engagement, outreach initiatives, and events to strengthen relationships and expand access to services
Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, active insurance policy or other ability to travel frequently in and around the service area for representation and to engage with clients and community partners - Required
Ability to model and commit CLA's values and mission. – Required
Preferred
Two years' experience as a case manager or social worker - Preferred
Bilingual proficiency – Preferred
