Responsibilities
Stripping, duplicating and archiving files
Filing documents and retrieving files for employees and customers
Data entry
Making copies, scanning documents, or creating packets
Opening, stamping and distributing mail
Greeting and assisting customers in person or on the phone by providing them with forms, brochures, or basic instructions
Assisting case processing clerks in basic duties
Legal research (College Students, College Graduates or Law Students only)
Other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school student with applicable documentation authorizing to work in the State of Maryland, e.g., Work Permit
Ability to file using alpha and numeric filing systems and to sort, process, verify, proofread and file miscellaneous reports and documents
Ability to operate office equipment such as a computer, printer, photocopier, scanner, telephone or fax machine
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and court personnel
Ability to understand and follow instructions
Ability to sit for long periods and lift or move boxes weighing approximately 25 pounds
Ability to perform all essential functions of this position

Previous experience in general office environment and/or retail is preferred
