Responsibilities
Manage the company’s product cost, product profitability, and inventory value under the standard cost system and work with finance team to implement, maintain, and administer standard cost
Shared responsibility / ownership of inventory accuracy (and the physical inventory) as well as potential financial exposure risks and process issues
Provide financial information, analysis and support to various stakeholders as required using the company’s ERP system (SAP S4 Hana) and Excel analysis/modeling
Contributor and driver of finance department activities and processes, including month-end/year-end close, financial statement review, balance sheet reconciliations, and associated daily activities
Participate and as needed lead improvement projects and activities related to product profitability, cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and capital projects
Proactively participate in plant operations via internal meetings and regular interaction with management, staff and hourly employees
Any other duties routinely required within the operational-orientation portion of a finance/accounting department
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting
Minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated experience
Experience with a high-volume manufacturer of engineered products in a multi-location, multi-shift environment
Demonstrated experience designing, maintaining, and administrating a standard cost system
High level of proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, ERP/MRP systems, and required business software(s)
Working knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices
Ability to effectively advise, train, and explain financial information to operational personnel at all levels
Ability to effectively communicate with, interact, and manage (as needed) all levels of the organization from executives to front line personnel
